Outreach Worker - Suzanne McKane
As out-reach worker for
GRSG Suzanne visits the Eglinton/ Lisbrook House/ The Great Western and
Dun Gibbons regularly.
Suzanne works from a
community development principle; working together with residents, staff
and other agencies to identify the needs of asylum seekers living in
Direct Provision and trying to create change, exert more influence in
the decisions which affect their lives and work to improve somewhat the
quality of their lives.
Projects include; Homework Clubs, A
Womens Group, Conversation Classes, Tutorage for Secondary Students,
Computer Courses, Sewing Classes, Health Information Sessions, Social
and Cultural outings, and Christmas Parties.
